FAQ

  • How is your encaustic artwork created?

I create my encaustic artwork by applying molten R&F Encaustic Medium and paints, made of purified natural beeswax and Damar resin, onto a rigid surface such as wood for paintings and glass for vases. After applying the encaustic paint, I methodically fuse each layer using a heat gun, blow torch, encaustic iron, stylus, or another heated tool.

  • Do you offer encaustic painting lessons in your studio?

Yes! If you are interested in learning more about encaustic painting, I offer lessons (maximum of 2 people at a time) in my home studio. My rates are $50 per 2-hour session, which includes all materials. Please contact me via email or the contact form on this website.

  • Is shipping cost included in your price?

The listed prices do not cover shipping costs. Shipping can be costly, often ranging from $100 to $200 on the larger pieces, due to the fragile nature of the artwork which requires careful packing and priority shipment. Shipping costs are determined at the time of purchase as rates are subject to frequent changes. Kindly reach out to me beforehand to discuss the shipping process. Thank you!

  • Do you offer demonstrations of encaustic painting?

Absolutely! I frequently offer complimentary encaustic painting demonstrations at local galleries and boutiques where my art is sold. Businesses or galleries interested in arranging a demo are welcome to reach out to me. Individuals wishing to experience a brief demo at my home studio should get in touch, and we can set up a visit. Please note, this offer is intended for earnest students and prospective purchasers only.
